How to use technology in teaching...
As teachers, it is very important to teach to different learning styles. In intervention it is very important to have hands on/ interactive activities when teaching. The students like to feel that they are actually working with what is being taught. By using the computer that is a good way to get students involved. There are tons of programs for students that involve reading and other subjects. I love programs that use sound and involve language. Since my dream job is being a k-2 resource room teacher for reading, I can use sound clips or podcasts from the computer to help my students learn in different ways. They can go to sites where they learn through play and not from me and can also use smartboards to be hands on too. The use of technology is all about being hands on with the student and I will use it to the best of my knowledge.

The use of Technology in Education
Technology in education is a very useful thing when trying to teach. If teachers did not have certain technology inside of their classroom it would be hard to reach a large group of students. I am all for technology in education. My experience with technology has always been a good one. When I was growing up we had computers in all our classrooms and in high school every class was equipped with a built in projector and a few even had smart boards.I feel that when I become a teacher I will use the technology provided to better serve my students. I hope that my future students have the same opportunity I did inside of the classroom.
I feel that there are a few pros and cons when dealing with technology. Pros: reach a large amount of students at one time, provide information a lot faster and easier, the students get the chance to actually work with the technology provided, and using it can also be fun.
Cons: When dealing with technology you never know what is going to happen, sometimes things do not go your way and you end up wasting time trying to fix the problem, you always need a plan b to fall back on if it decided not to work.
Technology can be your best friend and it can also be your worst enemy. You have to decide.
